SharePoint folders showing as http locations and webfolders?

Check that WebClient service is running on your local machine – it worked for me!

We had this problem in our Citrix and Terminal Server environments – for whatever reason, those servers had the WebClient service disabled. Without this serivce running we experienced odd errors in various pieces of software as they would not allow saving to a http location i.e. SharePoint.

  1. Warren,

My apologies if a bit off topic…

Quick question: can you embed a SharePoint survey in a WordPress blog, so the data results point back to your SP?
Enjoy your blog a lot… very helpful. Thanks — Michael

  2. Hi Michael. I’m not that up with WordPress beyond creating this simple blog, but I don’t see why not. I mean, you’d need a SP website (i’ve only used intranets) and you’d probably need anonymous logon and the licensing that goes with, and then you’d probably just use an iframe or something to show that survey page on a blog page. I don’t know so, but like I said, I don’t see why not…
